New Delhi: The main opposition party, BJP, will on Friday release its election manifesto, which promises good governance, better living conditions for Delhi residents and greater security for women here.
The manifesto promises to bring spiralling prices of essential commodities under control, reducing the power tariff, better water management and ensuring safety of women in the national capital.
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel had earlier said that the party`s manifesto that will be released ahead of the December 4 Assembly elections would focus on issues like price rise, high cost of electricity, water shortage, women safety and improving the basic infrastructure.
Goel also told reporters that his party received more than 30,000 suggestions from Delhi residents online.
"We are overwhelmed by the response, more than 30,000 people have sent us suggestions online and we are incorporating many of them," he said.
He went on to add that the main focus in the manifesto would be `good governance.` "We would ensure that Delhi gets its rightful place in the league of world class cities. But more importantly our focus is to ensure primarily that it becomes a people- friendly city," he said.
