New Delhi: Congress’ youth card in Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday accepted his defeat and said that his party needs to go back to the drawing board. As the outgoing Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to ride to victory, Scindia, while expressing disappointment with the results, said that the assembly elections result is Congress’ failure but not a win for the BJP in the state. Conceding defeat, he said that there need for introspection in the party and we need to restrategise for 2014, adding that the current results aren’t a mandate for 2014. The assembly results won’t impact the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2014, he added. Scindia while congratulating Chouhan for his win, Scindia said that there was impact of BJP’s star campaigner in Madhya Pradesh. “There was no Modi effect in my state, this victory is of Shivraj Singh Chouhan,” Scindia said. The Congress leader admitted that a lot of things didn’t work in favour of Congress and said that, “Very clear that we have our work cut out for us, our communication programme needs lots of work.”
