Sawai Madhopur: Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government while addressing a rally in the poll-bound Rajasthan.
Raising the poll pitch, the Gujarat Chief Minister raised the issue of inflation and said, "People are in trouble due to spiraling prices. Congress had promised to reduce prices in 100 days after coming to power, but nothing happened.”
Taking a dig at the Rajasthan Chief Minister, the BJP leader said, “Ashok Gehlot says we don`t want to learn anything from Gujarat. What an arrogance? I am willing to learn from any of the good qualities he possesses.”
Taking the opportunity to attack Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Modi said, “Only a person who has not understood the meaning of poverty can make fun of poverty like they (the Congress leaders) who say poverty is a state of mind.”
Modi also accused the Congress of breaching people’s trust and urged the electorate to throw the ruling party out of power.
“Congress has lost our faith. Those who have betrayed us cannot get another chance to serve people of Rajasthan,” Modi told the cheering crowd.
Praising the BJP governments in the sates like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Modi said development has been a hallmark of BJP-ruled states.
“If you want to take Rajasthan to greater heights, I urge you to vote for the BJP and reaffirm your faith in Vasundhara Raje`s leadership,” Modi told a vast gathering of his supporters.
