Jaipur: Hitting out at ruling Congress at the Centre and in Rajasthan, BJP on Friday accused the party of robbing people`s money to fill up its own treasury and said it was the reason for economic crisis in the country.
"The country is trapped in the crisis of economic down fall, devaluation of rupee against dollar, inflation, unemployment, and other internal issues.
"This is because Congress has become robber of common man`s money in order to fill up its own treasury," BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said at a press conference here.
Now, time has come for public to expose this robber with the power of vote, Naqvi said.
"Any new born kid comes with a financial burden of Rs 20,000. The Congress party has created a juncture from liberalization to borrowing," he said.
Further rapping Congress, the BJP leader said the party was asking people to bring it to power despite its "face smeared with coalgate, `ghungroo` of scam tied to its feet, a necklace of inflation around its neck".
Naqvi said since Congress had nothing to claim to seek vote in the Assembly polls in five states including Rajasthan, it was attacking BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders including Vasundhara Raje.
"Congress has got frustrated due to its own non-governance and corruption, and is therefore, deliberately trying to reveal any conspiracy," Naqvi said.
Hoping to win the Assembly elections in all five poll-bound states, the BJP leader claimed that only his party would ensure good governance, able and transparent administration, and security to the nation.
