Rajasthan Assembly Elections: Gehlot trashes exit polls, says wait for December 8

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday said they are managed by opposition parties so that Independent candidates and rebels, if they win, could be attracted in the government formation.

Jaipur: Trashing exit polls, which have given a lead to the BJP in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday said they are managed by opposition parties so that Independent candidates and rebels, if they win, could be attracted in the government formation. "Exit polls are managed by a few people related to rival party so that Independent candidates and rebels, if they win, could be attracted in the government formation," Gehlot said.
"If BJP is winning by over 120 seats out of 200 as per the exit polls, why the BJP`s chief ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje is making phone calls to non-BJP candidates like Independents and rebels," the chief minister underlined. At several occasions, exit polls have turned out to be just opposite the exact result, Gehlot told reporters after participating in Dr BR Ambedkar`s death anniversary at PCC here. "Heavy polling of above 75 per cent clearly showed voters` interest in Congress` flagship schemes," he said, adding, "Our work will speak in the poll results...Just wait for Sunday, December 8". In the entire poll campaign of Rajasthan Assembly polls, rival BJP and its leaders made false statements, mislead people in public rallies, he said.
