Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi launched a vicious attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi, while addressing a rally in Sikar district in poll bound Rajasthan on Thursday.
The Gujarat Chief Minister told the gathering that it was a very big thing to see such a big crowd. “I have come to the land of the brave,” asserted Modi.
While addressing the gathering, Modi said, “Whenever there has been change in India, Sikar has been a part of it.”
Taking on UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Modi said that “Madam as the nation is finding where the Central government is, similarly, we and the people of Rajasthan are also looking for the Congress government in the state.”
“Madam says we gave money for Rajasthan’s development, but can you trust what Madam is saying,” Modi asked the people assembled for his rally.
Taking potshots at Nehru-Gandhi family, Modi said that neither the Congress president or her family, which has ruled the country for 60 years, have ever answered the people.
Modi further attacked Sonia saying that “Madam, you may not want to answer me but the people of Rajasthan will surely give you an answer.”
The BJP leader alleged that money which was sanctioned for giving computers to youth was not spent.
Taking pot shots at other Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh, Modi said that people who come from Delhi keep saying they granted funds, as if it is their personal wealth. “It’s people`s wealth.”
Praising MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Modi said that Madhya Pradesh worked hard to remove the blot of BIMARU state from Madhya Pradesh.
Attacking the Ashok Gehlot government, Modi said that malnutrition in Rajasthan is even more than the national average. He also attacked the Congress government over low female literacy in the state.
The BJP leader also attacked the Congress government in Rajasthan over inadequate sanitation facilities and electricity problem.
Modi told the crowd that Congress is not bothered about the poor and has broken its promises. He further urged the people not to vote for the ruling party.
The Gujarat CM asked the people to vote for the BJP and said that Rajasthan will scale new heights under Vasundhara Raje.
Rajasthan, which is currently governed by Congress Government, votes for a new assembly on December 1. The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
