• Amish Tripathi is an eminent Indian writer.

• Tripathi always wanted to be a historian, but due to high expenses involved he did not choose that profession. • Before choosing writing as a profession, Tripathi worked for 14 years in the financial services. • Tripathi’s first book was ‘The immortals of Meluha’, which was published in 2010. • ‘The immortals of Meluha’ climbed up in the sellers chart within a week of its launch. • Tripathi’s other two creations are ‘The Secret of the Nagas’ (2011) and ‘The Oath of the Vayuputras’ (yet to be released). • These books collectively comprise of Shiva Trilogy. • Two million copies of Tripathi’s first two books were sold in a two-year span. • Tripathi says, Lord Shiva is a very cool God.
