Patna: The Patna police today seized pirated books of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and those of famous writers and arrested six persons in connection with the fraud.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided a house under Bypass police station and seized the books having a face value in the range of Rs 25-30 lakh.
Besides counterfeit books of NCERT and of popular authors, some pornographic books were also seized, a release from the Patna police said.
A printing machine, binding and cutting equipment were found in the house. Six persons, including the house owner Ashok Kumar, were arrested from the spot, the release said.
