Petition against Raj Thackeray in Patna court

Patna, Feb 01: A petition has been filed in the Patna civil court on Friday against Maharashtra Nav Nirman Party chief Raj Thackeray for his alleged remarks over Chhath, Bihar's most popular festival.

Thackeray had tagged Chhath as a 'drama' few days back. His demeaning remarks offended the religious sentiments of the people leading to an outrage in the state.

The matter fuelled up so much that it brought even the arch political rivals — Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar – on one platform to criticize Thackeray.

"Raj Thackeray is using regionalism to split the country," alleged Lalu, stressing that Thackeray should himself observe Chhath to "keep his own mind cool".

He had even blamed the Thackerays for using religion for petty political gains.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar strongly criticised Thackeray's statement and dubbed it as a "publicity stunt", while maintaining that Chhath was a festival that taught self-discipline.

Thackeray's effigy was burnt by the infuriated youth in Patna, where protestors holding placards and banners demanded that Thackeray should be locked in a mental asylum.

The state unit of the Samajwadi Party has demanded "immediate action" by the Union government and Maharashtra government against Raj Thackeray.

Mr. Raj Thackeray has no idea what he is saying.

Yes Mumbai is in Maharastra but it is a METRO and METRO is never belonging to any religion or cast, it is apply for Delhi, Calcutta.

Hi is completely out of his mind. I think he has inspired by Mr.Narendra Modi’s victory in Gujarat. But Raj Thackeray doesn’t know that Mr. Modi has not won this election because of HINDU card, but he won because of ongoing development in Gujarat and his commitment towards progress.

Gujarati people is not full and never blind that they make Modi as CM as easy.

But Mr.Modi has proved him self and pass all the litmus tests then and then he become King of Gujarat.

Raj Thackeray needs to check his own consistency Thane first and then come in market.

Raj Thackerey is a jerk. I remember these lines from Chak De..."Mujhe ek Mulk ka naam sunaiye deta hai..INDIA". I think his and his 2 bit supporters have petty mentality. I believe he should be hauled up in court for inciting riot and sedition. We can set up a fund to ensure he gets counseling on Indian constitution and his complexes.

Mr. Raj Thackeray seems to be the most ignorant about Chhath Puja. By his comments, he has shown disrespect towards the people of Bihar as well as towards the entire creation because it is the solar energy which sustains all of us including Mr. Raj Thackeray and Chhath puja is the worship of Lord Sun (the source of Solar Energy). I suggest him to read the information mentioned below to dispel his doubts.
What is Chhath Puja? Chhath Puja is a scientific process of conserving the cosmic energy, balancing its flow, awakening the superhuman powers and transmitting the energy throughout the universe. Through the scientific method of Chhath, we can obtain the solar energy consciously and directly from Sun in greater proportions. During sunrise and sunset periods the ultraviolet radiation levels remain in safe limits. Hence, in Chhath Puja, there is a tradition of offering arghya to Sun in late evening and in early morning. With the body purified by the prescribed method of fasting, the Vratti (devotee) stands in water and facing Bhagwan Surya (the Sun) the light energy (photons) present in the sunrays is trapped by photoreceptor cells of Retina in the eyes. This results in emission of subtle bioelectricity, which recharges the brain and the body with the solar energy.

how can a leader in the largest democracy comment this? raj has once again trying to prove that sycophancy is prevalent. he was in shivsena, the most trusted ally of BJP. has not he lost the moral right to identify himself as a hindu by opposing chaat puja?

raj has gone mad simply as he knows he can not win a seat for himself in the coming legislative elections. i am not a bihari or from UP, but can not digest such irresponsible remarks.
