Matka king Pappu Savla gets bail in Sena leader`s murder case

Mumbai, Sept 22: The Special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) Court today granted bail to alleged matka king Pappu Savla, accused in the murder of Shiv Sena corporator Kamlakar Jamsandiker.

Special MCOCA Court granted Savla bail of Rs one lakh and has directed him not to leave the city.

Savla was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch and booked in the case along with gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli. According to the crime branch, Savla used to provide financial assistance to Gawli's gang.

Savla was arrested after Gawli named him during his interrogation. Gawli used to receive Rs five lakh from Savla every month.

Savla is also an accused in the murder of Vasant Shah, son of another matka boss Kalyanji Bhagat.
