Chhattisgarh has become hotbed of Naxal violence under BJP: Rahul Gandhi

Raipur: Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in Chhattisgarh, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally here said that the state has become a hotbed of Naxal violence. “Chhattisgarh has highest number of incidents of Naxal violence (under BJP) and they blame us (Congress and UPA) for not dealing properly with terrorism,” he said while addressing an election rally. “Jitni hinsa aaj Chhattisgarh main hai utni aur kahin nahi (No other state suffers from violence like Chhattisgarh),” he added. Blaming the BJP-government under Dr Raman Singh for unemployment in the state, he asked the people, “Has the government given you employment here?”, and promised better employment options if Congress was voted to power in the state. Congress party scion has often in his speeches in the state referred to the Naxal attack on a cavalcade of Congress leaders which left 28 people, including state Congress chief Nandkumar Patel, his son Dinesh, Salwa Judum leader Mahendra Karma among others dead on May 25 this year,
