New Delhi: After refusing to campaign for Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi Assembly election, Anna Hazare on Sunday expressed happiness over AAP’s stunning performance, saying that he was expecting Kejriwal to become the next chief minister of the national capital. “I am very happy for AAP as the party has emerged victorious in such situation and got 24 seats,” Anna said.

Anna who continue to maintain distance from AAP said, “I spoke to Kejriwal on the phone but I cannot support his party.” On the question of whether he would like to see AAP moving beyond Delhi, Anna said that the newly formed party should contest election in other states as well. Anna while talking to reporters, said that Kejriwal should not take any support, rather go for another election if need be but no "khichdi"

While criticizing the Congress party, which has finished at a poor third in the Assembly polls, he said that that its intentions are not clear. Anna said that the Congress needs to mend its ways or else the people will teach it a lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

As the BJP is set for victory in Delhi, it has to share the spotlight with the newcomer Aam Aadmi Party for the performance that stunned everybody.
