New Delhi: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday promised that her government would install vending machines for subsidised food grains on the lines of Mother Dairy for economically weaker sections if Congress returns to power in Delhi.

"People face problem while getting their quota of food grains at PDS shops where the items are either available in less quantity or not available at all.

Stressing on the infrastructure development during the last 15 years, Dikshit made a strong pitch for people to elect Congress and promised that the government would ensure that per capita income of people doubles in next five years.

"In Delhi per capita income is very high, but we want to double it in the next five years. If people earn Rs two lakh per year today, we will work to seee that it becomes Rs four-five lakh," said Dikshit.

She also promised to create special business zones for of hawkers who earn their livelihood by operating from road sides.

"We will construct zones for hawkers so that they can run their business and police or MCD do not harass them," she said.

"There is scarcity of toilets in Delhi and we will construct toilets in every constituency, and at least 20 toilets in each of them will be reserved for women," she said..

Asking people to cast their votes for a responsible government, Dikshit alleged that BJP and AAP were making false promises.

"We want to inform you that opposition parties are making false promises to people. BJP accuses that women are not safe in Delhi. I want to ask them one question, how will they provide safety to women of Delhi, when they could not provide safety to woman in its home itself," said Dikshit.

Slamming AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, Dikshit questioned his source of funding.

"Kejriwal keeps talking about corruption, but I want to know from where is he getting funds. Even the court has asked him to provide details of funding. He keeps talking about corruption. I want to know his political plan."
