BJP creating animosity between states, religions: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: As the election campaign heats up in Rajasthan, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday held a rally in Ajmer.

In an attempt to woo voters, Gandhi said, "We brought refinery for you in Barmer. Around 2 lakhs people will get employment."

Gandhi also rebuked BJP for channelising communal violence. He said, "BJP believes in creating differences among religions, states and communities."

He further targeted BJP`s Rajasthan CM candidate Vasundhara Raje and said, "The opposition leader, who is calling medicines here poisonous, can`t see the benefit they have brought to the people."

In a reply to Gujarat CM Narendra Modi`s verbal attack on Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Gandhi said that IIT,NIFT,AIIMS, Police University have been setup in Jodhpur by Gehlot.

While advocating Congress` `gamechanger` – Food Security Bill- he said that those who sleep hungry cannot be satisfied just by roads and airports and that the party understands the poor from the core of their heart. He also added that Congress wants to help the poor by lending a supporting hand (Congress election symbol).
