Congress speed breaker arresting Rajasthan development: BJP

BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday accused the Congress of placing barriers in the way of Rajasthan`s development, and said the BJP would break this barrier if voted back to power.

Jodhpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday accused the Congress of placing barriers in the way of Rajasthan`s development, and said the BJP would break this barrier if voted back to power.
"The biggest threat to this country is the economically disastrous policies of the current government. The rupee is depreciating and the dollar is appreciating. The country`s treasury is empty due to corruption. The price rise is over the head. Unemployment is troubling the country`s youth and common man," he said in Jodhpur. "We will work on a primary basis to find a solution to all these problems. After the government is formed in Rajasthan, in the Centre also, the BJP will be coming to power, under the leadership of Narendra Modi . After that, both governments will work in tandem for the betterment of the state. We will remove the speed breaker placed by the Congress government in front of the state`s development," he added. "The fight is between the Congress and the BJP. It is between poor governance and good governance. The Congress is talking about expired medicines (various schemes). And, these medicines sometimes react also. The medicines have never reached the public, as they were rotting in the their godowns," he added. The upcoming election in Rajasthan is being seen as a litmus test for both the BJP and the Congress ahead of the 2014 elections. Rajasthan is currently governed by the Congress Government. The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
