The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released the third list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. As part of the third list, the ruling BJP released the names of 11 candidates.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released the second list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. As part of the second list, the ruling BJP released the names of 11 candidates.

Here’s a list of names released by the BJP:

1. Vijay Pratap Singh – Premnagar
2. Ramkishun Singh – Ramanujganj (ST)
3. Kashi Sahu – Kota
4. Kailash Sahu – Jaijaipur
5. Shyam Tandi – Saraipalli (SC)
6. DC Patel – Basna
7. Poonam Chandrakar – Mahasamund
8. Tesu Dhurendhar – Baloda Bazar
9. Pawan Sahu – Sanjari Balod
10. Deepak Sahu – Gunderdehi
11. Vidhyaratan Bhasin – Vaishali Nagar

The BJP had announced a list of 77 candidates for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections on Saturday.

The Congress has fielded former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s niece Karuna Shukla against Chief Minister Raman Singh from Rajnandgaon.

The Chhattisgarh Assembly polls will take place in two phases. The constituencies going to polls in the first phase are Rajnandgaon, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Bastar, Jagdalpur, Keshkal, Chitrakot, Dantewada, Bijapur, Konta, Khairagarh, Dongargarh, Dongargaon, Khujji and Mohla-Manpur. 

The eighteen constituencies going to polls in the first phase are spread across eight Naxal-affected districts.

The first phase of voting will be held on November 12 while the second phase will be held on November 20. The counting of votes will take place on December 11.
