Nothing wrong between me and Narendra Modi: Sanjay Joshi

Former BJP leader Sanjay Joshi on Sunday said there was nothing wrong at the personal level between him and the Gujarat Chief Minister.

Ballia: Former BJP leader Sanjay Joshi, who had quit the party position following souring of his ties with Narendra Modi, on Sunday said there was nothing wrong at the personal level between him and the Gujarat Chief Minister. Joshi was removed from the BJP national executive in June last year under pressure from Modi. A few months prior to that, he had been made a member of the national executive by the then party president Nitin Gadkari.
When asked about party`s Prime Ministerial candidate, Joshi, the former secretary of BJP`s Gujarat unit, said "party`s decision in this regard will be acceptable to all." Earlier addressing a seminar here, Joshi hit out the Congress-led UPA government, saying that the country was going through a phase of insecurity, corruption and anarchy. He said the country was facing tough challenges, with neighbouring countries often encroaching upon its territory. Joshi said the situation was deteriorating as the UPA government has become "deaf and dumb." Terming it a "government of corruption", Joshi called upon the intellectual class to root the party out of power, and come forward to contribute in the nation-building process. PTI
