New Delhi: Bhojpuri actress Priyanka Pandit alias Gargi Pandit, who has acted opposite superstar Pawan Singh, in two films, had a secret crush on him and even wanted to marry him. But two come from different castes and according to Gargi, this proved to be an insurmountable barrier in her desire to get married to Pawan Singh, who tied the knot with Jyoti Singh from Uttar Pradesh's Balia on March 6, 2018 in the presence of close family members.
Gargi said that while Pawan Singh, who hails from Ara in Bihar, is a Rajput, she is a pandit (Brahman). Gargi said that when she heard that Pawan Singh was getting married to Jyoti, she was initially sad and felt dejected. "If I had been a Rajput, then there would have been no barrier in our marriage. But I am a pandit and my marriage will take place with a pandit," said Gargi. She congratulated Pawan Singh and Jyoti while adding that they seemed to be made for each other.
She said that Pawan Singh is a brilliant actor and her experience in the two films - "Karz Virasat Ke" and "Laagi Nahi Chute Rama" - that she has acted opposite him has been excellent.
