In God We Trust

Ever realised it’s so difficult to trust people, especially the ones you haven’t met or seen or heard. So why would you trust someone you haven’t met, seen or heard? Hmm... Perhaps because everyone has always told you that there’s someone more trustworthy, reliable than anyone you have ever met, seen or heard. Yes, here’s introducing - God, that one person, whom we don’t meet at least in our worldly senses, don’t see besides the imaginative figures we associate him/her with, and much obviously don’t hear him directly, but believably hear him in our inner voice; still, in God we trust.

Some things are meant to be and so is our faith in God I guess, for every time I ask him (that’s because I take him to be a male and this is purely a belief and has nothing to do with the question of equality or the lack of it) for anything, I get it. There have been thoughts and afterthoughts questioning his existence many a times, but the end product has always been - an embarrassed me, apologising profusely to the Krishna (mural) from Vrindavan in my living room and the apology comes merely from the guilt that how could I even question the person whom I trust to be responsible for my existence?

During times such as these, one experiences a feeling similar to that of taking mum-dad for granted and throwing a fit on their face for no fault of theirs, but only because you’ve had a bad day. But, what do they do? You look at them and you can see them steal a smile, quite similarly, when I look at God’s face after holding him responsible for every damn thing on this planet, I can see him steal a smile too, a lot like Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, she smiles if you think she is smiling and she seems straight-faced when you’re having a bad day.

And what’s with all the paintings of God(s)? I mean why do they always seem to be looking at us? You look left they look left, you see right they too see right (Try it if you haven’t, you’ll feel this connection with Him and you’ll end up with a smile on your face). Hang on, you’re not sure? Take my word, look at any picture of Shah Rukh’s or any other actor that you admire, I swear he won’t look at you like that - straight you’re the eyes! Now, what on earth would you make that out to be... Well, that’s how I know God.

How we know him is only how WE know him. My relationship or connection with God can be completely different from yours and has to be, for each one has one’s own God. No matter how much we debate ‘God is One’ and his oneness, I would still want to go back to my Krishna (Yeah, the very Krishna I mentioned before) after talking for the motion, this, obviously does not mean that I don’t think God is one, but it means that God’s this one entity, who ensures that the trust all of us hold in him together, perhaps at one time, never ceases even if it’s a little deterred.

I, like many others, don’t remember how it all started. I mean, there wasn’t this particular day when I woke up to have started believing in God and trusting in him. This also has little to do with the fact that my mum and dad are staunch believers (though the inspiration and motivation I draw from them is undeniable), but has everything to do with the fact that my prayers have been answered, not once, twice, thrice, but innumerable times. So even if I could get a million dollars to say that I don’t have trust in God and what he can give me, I would not say it (though I would miss the money, Sorry Krishna!). I simply can’t, after all those miracles that have happened. And quite naturally, no sane person would tag umpteen miracles in a row to be coincidences, as I think even the person who came with the term ‘coincidence’ wouldn’t have heard of so many of them.

Remember the last time you prayed real hard for that something, what happened afterwards? Hmm... I think you must’ve not got the thing you prayed for and.... and... and... the strange fact that you’re praying again for the next thing in your wish list, this is what precisely my point is. I ask you something, you don’t give it to me, what happens next? Well, I come back to you and ask you again, so, if I wasn’t getting what I was seeking why would I come to you again?? The same holds true for our relationship with God, he might not be giving us everything that we seek, but, what he does give us is the hope to still trust him as well as the mankind and to keep going back to him - now, always, forever.

I trust my God to let me have the trust that keeps me going. And just in case you’re a non-believer, that is okay too, as you also must be trusting in someone for no reason, don’t you?

P.S- Why do we trust in God? Well... because we plain and simple trust in God.

Even though my name means ``Light`` I am most certainly not light. There is only one true light and that is God. Like the sun, God shines so very brightly, but I can only be like the moon and reflect His light as I look to Him. You can tell when someone is truly looking to God, for they shine. Out of ignorance, do people have a false sense of God. That is, not truly knowing the true God, but follow a God that is not the God who created all things. They misunderstand or have been taught by false teachers who and what God really is. Throughout the years I have studied different religions, seeking the truth, God`s truth, not man`s idea of what God is. We do know that God has and does speak through we finite humans. He is infinite and we are finite beings. We don`t even have to read a book to realize God does exist. For example, just look around at nature and see God`s creation. Do you really believe all this intricate beauty just happened to come together so perfectly? I don`t think so. I have noticed that God does reveal Himself through the reality of nature all around us and within that still small voice in our thoughts. We can choose not to listen. When in prayer, further seeking to know God more, He has revealed in thought and from others. If I may, I wanted to share 3 simple things, which point to the nature of God. As I mentioned, we know that God reveals Himself through His creation in 3 different ways, or within a trinity as: Time, Space and Matter. Each has their own a trinity. Time has a trinity as Past, Present and Future. We cannot add nor take away from this trinity found within Time. We have to have all three, no more, no less. Space has a trinity of Height, Width and Depth. Again, we cannot add nor take away from this trinity found within Space. Finally there is Matter. Matter has a trinity of Solid, Liquid and Gas. Once more, we cannot add nor take away from this trinity found within Matter. A simple description of Matter existing simultaneously is a glass of ice water. We can observe the Solid ice cubes floating in the liquid water with the Gas/steam floating up. So, we see trinities within the trinity of Time, Space and Matter. God created Time, Space and Matter and simply reveals this truth about His true nature. This notion brought me to consider which beliefs in our world complied and naturally followed this simple truth of a trinity. It did not take long for me to see that the Christian religion has always spoken and taught the trinity of God revealing Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God in three persons is the only blessed trinity. Does anyone totally understand this trinity? No, because we are finite beings and God is infinite. The scriptures from the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible reveals the trinity of God. A book in the Bible titled, John, states, ``In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.`` Note the WORD means Jesus. So in reading this we need to consider whom the author is referring to correctly understand him. So we could read ``In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God. That life is not said to have been created life existed in Christ. Humans are dependent on God for life. Our existence, spiritually and physically, depends on God`s sustaining power. In contrast, the Son has life in Himself from all eternity. The life, Jesus Christ, is also the light of Men. Meaning that as the Light, Jesus Christ reveals both sin and God to humans. Christ reveals Himself to be both the life and the light. Death and darkness flee when the life and the light enter. The dead are raised and the blind receive their sight, both physically and spiritually. As I learned more about the Christian faith I learned that 3 nails were used to put Jesus on a cross. One nail hammered into his right hand or wrist and one for His left hand, and one nail through both feet. The story goes that Jesus took on all of Mankind`s sin as He was tortured and hung on a cross and then was buried in a tomb to come back to life on the third day. I asked myself ``If Jesus did not really rise from being dead after 3 days why would all His disciples once caught and imprisoned allow themselves and their family to be tortured and killed?`` I thought, ``if I knew that this guy I had been following did not come back to life, was just a fraud I would confess and would be allowed to go home to my family, or if my family was also imprisoned, they too would be let go as well.`` That was the option for the disciples. If they just confessed that Jesus did not come back to life after being dead for 3 days then they were free to go, but not one did. We can read in the Bible how Jesus came to them, but not as a ghost, for they touched Him and He ate with them. They wrote how they watched Jesus physically ascended up into heaven and afterward angels reminded them what Jesus had said, that He would return one day the same way. They were to look for His second coming. That it would be like in the times of Noah, much evil throughout the world. All will see Jesus and bow their knee before Him, for Jesus is God in the flesh. God did become a man in the form of Jesus the Christ. Jesus said that He is the only way to heaven. I cannot answer for those in the past who had never heard of Jesus or who grew up in a family that was of a different belief who are now dead. I do know that God is perfectly fare and His love for us is perfect. If all paths lead to God is someone like Adolf Hitler in heaven?
Hitler called himself a Christian but had a terribly twisted and false sense of who is and what God wants of us. Hitler was evil and was used by Satan to murder thousands of Jewish people. I discovered a radio station called kwave 107.9fm, which is very good in teaching the Bible. You can listen live via the net on http://www.kwve.org/ I cannot dispute the Bible or what teachings of God`s word are taught on Kwave. I am just someone sharing what I have discovered. That is why I said a prayer to God, thanking Him that He came into our world as Jesus to die for my sins, that I am free from death, from the grip of sin, of Satan`s powers over me. God`s Holy Spirit indwells my soul. I do not know if you understand, but it is God, it is Jesus who now lives inside me. Does this mean that I will never sin again? No, I still sin, but now I am so ashamed when I do sin and I asked God for forgiveness in Jesus` name, and He does. Does this give me a license to sin? So, God forbid I take the sacrifice He made for me so lightly. I do know from past experience and from other`s stories that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light or as God himself. That is why there are so many cults. Those people in Mormonism, for example are sincerely, but they are sincerely wrong. Simple Christianity in a non-denominational church is best. Jehovah`s Witnesses are a cult too for various reasons, which can be found online. Catholicism shares a cult status because they pray to Mary and the other Saints. Nowhere in the Bible does God ever suggest that we pray to anyone or anything but Himself as Jesus the Christ, our savior. Also, Catholics believe that when they take communion it literally becomes the real body and blood of Jesus. Jesus Himself said that we are to take communion in remembrance of Him, of His great sacrifice as being God in the flesh dying for our sins. So, be careful if you are one who is truly seeking to worship and know God. Satan has his churches too which are just counterfeits. Then, there are those who do not believe in Jesus at all, which is still yet a tactic of Satan, for he does not want anyone to worship Jesus because he knows that Jesus is God in the flesh, he knows that God did become a man by being born of the virgin Mary. Satan knows that God literally put Himself inside the womb of His own creation, Mary. Though we cannot fully understand this, how Jesus is God, and yet He gave an example to pray to His Father God. Jesus said that after He ascended back to heaven that He and His Father would be one again and they would come as the Holy Spirit to reside in every believer. In other words, the Holy Spirit is God the Father, is Jesus the Christ. God reveals Himself 3 different ways as Father, Son and Holy Spirit but still these 3 are the one true God. There is only 1 God. There are not 3 Gods as God the Father, and another God as God the Son and another God as God the Holy Spirit. There is only 3 in 1, three ways God reveals himself to us. God bless all.

well i am not a believer in god but yep i can say one thing for sure, faith has got power..and i as a person has never been able to define for myself whats that power is.
For me my god is my passion...not the passion for any particular thing but the passion that comes when i work, when i am purely logical and rational..becz with emotions for god and others i may be happy for a moment but if i am logical its going to life long happiness...
Truly enjoyed tha blog.

Not for Debate, but I believe facts, truths and logics supersede emotions to define events.

1) God is neither ``human`` nor ``imaginary``. Human has limitations to imagine. It is the combinations of data stored in memory. I can explain you that too logically, not debate.

2) God takes care for believers and non-believers both. It is God`s beauty to forgive. That`s why God is called merciful.

3) God never punishes us when we think evil. But he surely puchishes us when we act evil. So, God is merciful.

4) God is beneficent. When our prayers become reality, we think God exists, when doesn`t meet we blame. It is not logical to blame, because God knows better how we can be benefitted. Some of our prayers may be illogical and harmful, which we don`t know, can`t justify.
