People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. Time good and time bad as it alternates through the journey of living and learning, we keep looking to find answers in someone or we keeping looking to find someone who can answer.

But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate that lives in you is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because it can tear down your walls and awaken you.

But to live with a soul mate outside of yourself and to expect that to stay forever, is something that is not going to happen and is too unrealistic to expect. Because worldly soul mates you find here in the name of friends or a partner, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

They have to leave eventually...for that is how life is designed.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear down your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open, so new light can get in, push you out of the comfort zone so that you can transform your life, then introduce yourself to a matured, more patient and more learned person that exists right within.

Change is the only constant in life…people are designed to come in your life play their part and be gone. They all come with a designated time and role to play. Once that purpose is achieved, it’s time for them to leave. For this helps you become the person you are meant to be.

If your past is your present, then how can you expect the future to be any different? Let go, forget them…forgive yourself and keep moving. Forward is the only valid direction on this road we are all walking and if you keep looking back…you are only just going to tumble over something and fall on your face again.

I know…we have all been through heart breaks and back stabbings, broken relationships…emotional issues and trust issues ETC…ETC…But a broken heart is only an assurance that in life you tried for something really hard, and those who try never lose. These cracks on your heart are there on purpose for through these new love…new light...new desires can seep in, you need to stop looking at them with regret.

Clinging on to something you can’t change is a waste of your own precious fortune, the fortune that’s right here in your present waiting to enlighten you about newer possibilities, new opportunities and higher degree happiness you are destined to achieve. If you keep holding onto what’s gone, I am sorry you’re forgetting you haven’t freed your hands to grab the next best thing that’s coming your way and that can just mean a miss of something better.

Your emotions are a slave of your thoughts and you are a slave of your emotions. In desperate phases of life we always invent the characters of our partners, friends, family demanding they be what we need of them, and then we end up feeling devastated when they refuse to perform the role we created in the first place.

Why are you relying on sketching characters and forming mental images of what you expect of others, they got their own hassles to deal with. If you don’t love yourself and you are denying yourself of all that you need/want, how can you expect someone else to fulfill that in the first place?

You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you should cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control.

You were given life; it is your duty and also your entitlement as a human being to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight.

Don’t feel sorry because you made some mistakes, because you judged someone to be good and in return got backstabbed, because you got cheated and dumped, because someone dumped you for no mistake of yours, because a relationship didn’t work, because your friends didn’t stand by you when you needed, because people didn’t come up to your expectations, because your career is not where you had imagined it to be…and now all this makes you want to cry..all this makes you want to run away…all this makes you feel sad and devastated…Well, take pride you feel this way, because without the existence of these emotions we would all be robots.

Life is a journey and having gone through things I mention above, it only just establishes your journey has been an enriching experience. Some days in life are to be counted while others are to be weighed.

Allow yourself to reach where you are meant to be, to find the people you belong with, and for your inner voice to guide you. Keep moving no matter how slow your progression is… at least you are on your way today and will be there someday.

Someday you're going to look back at these days of your life as such a sweet time of grieving. You'll see that you were in mourning and your heart was broken, but your life was changing.

Keep your faith...keep walking..and you would be serving the purpose of living in its highest form, for looking back is only wasting time and life given into nurturing regret that’s obviously not going to take you far eventually.

As one of my favorite authors quoted in one of her books, “Faith is walking face-first and full-speed into the dark. If we truly knew all the answers in advance as to the meaning of life and the nature of God and the destiny of our souls, our belief would not be a leap of faith and it would not be a courageous act of humanity; it would just be... a prudent insurance policy!”
