Mother’s day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year in many countries including India. As the origin of human being is a woman who keeps her child in her womb for nine months bearing all the pain and anxiously waiting for the divine moment to come in her life, it is quite inevitable to celebrate the “Mother Day”.

God could not come to earth to feed and take care of every child. So, he sent ‘Mother’ in place of him. A woman is incomplete if she is not blessed with the nature’s privilege of becoming a mother and nurturing the god’s gift with pure and unconditional love, care and affection.

Motherhood brings a sense of responsibility and major changes in the life of a woman. The first word a baby utters is ‘maa’. This is a very satisfying accomplishment for a woman, especially if it is her first child.

In the present scenario, the bond of children & mother has changed a lot in the way of expressing one’s gratitude towards their mother. But the compassion and emotions of motherhood have remained unchanged since the beginning of humanhood. Modernization, media, western culture, films and television programmes, and Internet have all helped bring the mother and children closer. Like, now-a-days, children can frankly share their secrets with their mothers.

Mother is considered to be the pillar of her child’s successful life. Whatever we have in our life is largely because of our mother as she is the one who keeps telling her children to study and do their homework. She always remains awake when children study late at night. She is always ready to sacrifice all her comforts when it comes to making her children happy and she leaves no stone unturned to make them intelligent, healthy and ahead of other children in terms of studies, competition and all the good deeds.

There are many famous examples where successful women sacrifice their bright career when they are at the highest peak of success in their respective fields, when they attain motherhood. Like in Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapur, Kajol etc are among the top actresses but they also quit their high profile careers for their children.

Sometimes, children may become angry as mothers keep a strict tab on their children’s whereabouts but she does it only for their well being. Mother gives her so much devotion and compromise a lot just to spend time and making their children the best human beings in the world. She always prays to god for her children and never wants anything from the almighty god in return. Such is the greatness of a mother. In a person’s life, any relationship can end but a mother can never be separated from her child. It is one of the most pure and the strongest bond and a unique relationship as this kind of love cannot be found anywhere else.

Mother is the best friend of her children as she will always guides her children to choose the right path. She is the one who always puts ‘kajal’ behind her child’s ear or on the forehead to keep them away from evil eyes when they are infants.

Above statement is absolutely correct as this is a kind of profession which every woman joins the moment she becomes a mother. It is said that the sons always love their mother more than their wives and approach their mother first whenever they have to make demands from their father. Even daughters enjoy the trust and love of the mother-in- laws after getting married in many families. This is really a boon for those who get immense love, support and encouragement from their mother-in-laws.

Mother is no less than a perfectionist when it comes to multi-tasking whether they are housewives or working professionals. She always accompanies her child in taking the nascent during the childhood and prepares him for his future journey.

So, this MOTHERS DAY make your mom feel special by showering your love and concern by surprising her with the gift she has been craving for a long time or by taking her to shopping, relaxing at a spa, or by giving her a make-over or by simply spending a healthy time from your busy schedules with her.
