Mother's Day special: A message of gratitude for moms

With special days knocking on the door, a pattern has been developed lately to pen down our emotions towards our birth givers, especially on marked calendar days such as the 'Mother's Day', which falls on the second Sunday of May every year.

It's true that we do not really require a specific day in the year to dedicate it to our mothers. Everyone on this planet shall agree to it because a mother's dedication, love, care and support towards her offspring can be felt every time she breathes. Nonetheless, this day makes us pull out hours to write to them, about them, for them or at least grow reminiscing them.

I am at a loss of words to describe the kind of emotions I have for my mother, as words might not do justice. Well, I am sure they won't. However, words-- that are live feed of our thoughts-- and emotions vary from person to person. All I could sum up in my mind is my being a part of her and vice-versa. I carry her in me, wherever I go. I take along and don her essence, fragrance, style, enunciation, teachings, features, confidence and her love.

Though my childhood memories go bankrupt as having working parents, the child is often raised by grandparents who surely shower upon you double the dose of love that mothers do. I have the most beautiful and deep imageries of her confidence and hardwork which I have imbibed (if I could say so), but one thing that still pricks me is my not having caught up with the amount of knowledge, understanding and patience she is backed with. Hopefully, I will catch up on her there too with time.

Going out to all the beautiful mothers in the world with this piece as a token of thanks wrapped in our love, celebrating their existence ever since and forever will. Celebrating the marrow of motherhood across the spheroid, we thank you for your unconditional love-- that you blessed us with right from the time of our birth and can never be exhausted.

Thanking you for your unwavering faith in us, and most importantly giving us the trait of being faithful and hopeful human beings in any sphere of life.

Thankful for being omnipresent, truly an angelic presence that it always with us in the times of need, sadness, or celebration.

Thank you for your eternal promises. Teaching us to be amiable and tender, making us learn how to earn respect and give love to whoever comes our way.

Thanking you for building immortal discipline, confidence and strong character into our mortal bodies. Thank you for giving your life and hardwork to us, for our better days.

Thank you for your patience and encouragement. Thank you for reading to me, reading me and making me able to read through.

Thanking you for your beautiful wit, morals, laughter, food, flavours, and most importantly thanking you for being you.

This spring while I am thrilled to see what life presents me with, the new, the unknown and the challenging things that will come. The only reason I have and I will make it through is because we are in this together. Me and my source. This mothers' day, give smiles and hugs to all the mothers, make it contagious.

Even if your life has not gone the way you designed, you came here for a reason and your mother made that possible, being your truer than true source, whether through birth or adoption. Do not mourn if your mother is no longer living with you, rather celebrate her in you being alive, celebrate with her memories and her teachings. Being warm and celebrating the memories can be real healers for the mind and soul. By thanking her suspend all negative or unpleasant feelings, even if just for a day, DO IT.

Let us make each day a Mother's Day just like they make each moment like we own it, for us. To all the new moms, stay-at-home-moms, single moms, working mothers and even mommy men. Wishing you a very happy Mother's Day.
