NEW DELHI: Congratulations. International Men's day is finally here. And here we go again, toasting to all the handsome folks in our lives. What would we do without you, men!
The official UK website of International Men's day has a few interesting words. It says, “Every year, International Men’s Day in the UK is marked by more and more women, men and organisations across the country.”

That's right. Role of women in men's day is getting bigger with each passing year.
In short, you can't ignore us – the ladies.

Now, we did already tell you, dear readers, about 5 things one can learn from Indian Men

But what about women? Quite a few caps men too can don from us ladies.

Here's a quick look at 5 things, all Indian men can learn from women on International Men's Day:

1. Cooking
Cooking is an art. It's happiness. It's what binds people together. It's also the way to the heart (Remember, the cliché: the way to a man's heart is through his stomach).
So, dear men, don your cooking caps, for it's time to make way into your woman's heart. Call the lady of your life (mom, sister, partner, friend etc) and ask them to teach to you. It's that simple.
And if you wanna surprise, just youtube the recipes.

2. The art of dialogue
Knowing what to say, when to say and how to say is pure golden. Now here's what you can do. Observe the lady. Look at her ability to use the language. Learn from her, boy (or sir). Got a view? Know how to say it.

3. Dress-up
Most Indian men and good dressing sense do not go hand-in-hand. But one can always trust the judgment of the ladies. Just ask her – 'What looks good on me?' Rest assured, you can expect an honest opinion.

4. Adjustment
Ok, now coming to a little more serious stuff.  Adjusting.

From a very young age, most women are taught (drilled into our heads) how to adjust. From little things on curbing our wishes for men's benefit to what we'd like to do when we step out of home – women are made to adjust. For once, step into her shoes. See what she goes through, how she feels.

5. Sacrifice
It's easy to talk about sacrifice, but to go through sacrifice is a whole new ball game. Fathers don't give up thriving career for babies. Mothers do.
Men don't leave homes when married. Women do.
Look around. You'll find many women around who've given more than one can imagine. So step up and don't hesitate to sacrifice when someone you love needs it.

(Disclaimer: Ok, we know better than to put all men in the same league. There are quite a few, who're fabulous cooks and know all about adjustment and sacrifice. A big salute to you all! The above doesn't apply to you.)
