Aanand L Rai offered Kareena Kapoor a role in Shah Rukh Khan starrer?

New Delhi: In past few months, a lot has been said and written about Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie with filmmaker Aanand L Rai. But, the details of the flick have been well-kept under wraps. However, it is now being said that an important role in the untitled project was earlier offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan.

“The filmmaker offered the role to Kareena, but her dates were clashing with Veerey Di Wedding. Also, she did not want to start shooting immediately post motherhood as she wanted to lose all the weight that she had gained. That’s how Rai approached Anushka for the role and she was on board,” a source told DNA.

Interestingly, Anushka Sharma has bagged the part now. The on-screen pairing of the 29-year-old actress and King Khan has been a hit in terms of Box Office collections. The duo previously rocked the silver screen with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

They will soon be taking over the cinemas with 'Jab Harry Met Sejal'. So, it seems moviegoers will get to witness more of SRK-Anushka in the near future.
