New Delhi: Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for being extra cautious in keeping the look of his characters under wraps. But in this time of social media, it takes no time in making any picture or video go viral.
Reports suggest that Bhansali is upset over Ranveer Singh's look leak ahead of its unveiling date. His look as Sultan Alauddin Khilji found space in the social media much before its scheduled date. And now the filmmaker has issued a warning to his team members over it.
Pinkvilla.com quoted the source telling an entertainment portal, “Padmavati is a dear project and it has already seen many lows and blows since it started rolling. Information leak from the sets or the looks of the important characters getting out before the schedule is the last thing he wants. He has sent out a loud and clear message to his team that if anything pertaining to Padmavati is leaked anymore, he will do away with the entire team and get new people on board to work with him on future projects. Bhansali sir is very upset with what happened. He is convinced that while the ones who leaked the look aren't from the team, they got their hands on the Khilji posters thanks to someone in-house. He has issued a strict warning to the entire team which has everybody shocked, shaken and scared.”
Padmavati will see Deepika Padukone in the titular role of Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The film is set to release on December 1, 2017.
Meanwhile, Raza Murad, who plays an important part in the film had shared his look on Facebook but deleted it later with reasons best known to him.
Ranveer, Deepika and Bhansali are teaming up for the third time whereas this is filmmaker's first venture with Shahid.
