New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and crew members of his upcoming venture 'Zero' escaped unhurt after a fire broke out in film city, Goregaon in Mumbai. The actor was shooting for 'Zero' when the incident took place.

Reportedly, a fire broke out on the sets of 'Zero' in Film City in Mumbai. No casualty has been reported so far. Several reports suggest that a patchwork of the movie was left and the team was shooting it when the incident took place.

The actor was present on the set when the fire broke out in the evening but was unhurt and left the set later, police said, reports PTI.

There are no reports of any casualty, Vinay Rathod, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said. It is not yet clear what caused the fire, he added. The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, lights, shooting materials, ropes and curtains, he said.

Smoke was seen billowing out of the studio, he said. Four engines were rushed to the spot.

'Zero' is helmed by Aanand L Rai and stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The movie will see Shah Rukh play a vertically challenged man for the first time on-screen.

The trio has previously worked together in late legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' which released in 2012. The film will hit the screens on December 21, 2018.
