IIFA 2018: The Stellar line-up of the star-studded event revealed

Mumbai: The International Indian Film Academy Awards popularly known as IIFA will head to Bangkok, Thailand this year. The annual event held at international destinations sees an array of stars from the Indian film fraternity descend to enthral overseas fans. This year will be no different.

The four-day film extravaganza will commence on June on June 21 and conclude on June 24.

The IIFA Press conference will take place at 2 PM on June 22 at the Marriott Marquis Queens Park and will be followed by the IIFA Rocks Green Carpet at the Siam Niramit Theatre at around 6 PM. The main IIFA Rocks event will start at 8 PM.

There will be a musical presentation by Bollywood music director-singer Pritam along with Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Shalmali Kholgade, Antara Mitra, Nakash Aziz and Nikitha while Bollywood divas Vaani Kapoor and Nushrat Bharucha will enthral the audience with their energetic performances.

Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana will host IIFA Rocks 2018.

On June 24, the IIFA Awards Green Carpet will commence at 6 PM at the Siam Niramit Theatre followed by the main IIFA Awards event at 8 PM.

There will be performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon and Lulia Vantur. And last but not the least, viewers will witness a mesmerizing performance by India’s most loved actress and timeless beauty Rekha.

The main event will be hosted by Karan Johar and Riteish Deshmukh.

Recognizing his immense contribution to Indian cinema, last fortnight the IIFA Advisory Board announced that the venerated actor, Anupam Kher will be honoured with the prestigious ‘IIFA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema’ at IIFA Awards 2018.

The first IIFA event was held in 2000 in London followed by Sun City in South Africa, Genting Highlands in Malaysia, Johannesburg in South Africa, Singapore, Amsterdam in Netherlands, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Sheffield in United Kingdom, Bangkok in Thailand, Macau, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Toronto in Canada, Singapore, Macau, Tampa in United States, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Madrid in Spain, New Jersey in the United States of America in the subsequent years respectively.
