Parmanu becomes John Abraham's highest solo grosser of all time

The film not only opened to rave reviews from the critics but also won a million hearts of the audiences for its strong storyline and decent performance by its star cast.

New Delhi: Bollywood's handsome hunk John Abraham and actress Diana Penty's power act in 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' turned out to be a safe bet. The film not only opened to rave reviews from the critics but also won a million hearts of the audiences for its strong storyline and decent performance by its star cast.

Despite the release of several big-budget films across the theatres, the John Abraham's starrer continues to maintain a healthy trend. The film that released exactly a month back, on May 25, is still having successful shows. As per industry expert, on Sunday, the film made a collection of Rs 68 lakhs, thus taking its net collection to Rs Rs 63.68 crore. 

In fact, the film has become the highest solo grosser of John Abraham. 

Noted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the news and wrote, "#Parmanu maintains a HEALTHY TREND... Emerges John Abraham’s highest *solo* grosser... [Week 5] Fri 27 lakhs, Sat 59 lakhs, Sun 68 lakhs. Total: ₹ 63.68 cr. India biz... Running in more screens in Week 5 [331] than Week 4 [318]."

He also shared a week-wise collection of the film in another tweet: 

'Parmanu' is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998. The film is produced by Zee Studio and JA Entertainment. It hit the screens on May 25, 2018.

The story has been written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh and Abhishek Sharma. The film features John Abraham, Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Darshan Pandya to name a few. 'Parmanu' was earlier slated to release on December 8, 2017, but got pushed ahead.
