New Delhi: The much-awaited flick in the last month of 2016, 'Befikre' will hit the screens on December 9. Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer is helmed by the Yash Films' honcho Aditya Chopra. And who better than Adi to direct a romantic drama?
Well, YRF head has 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' to his credit—a film which went beyond time and became a cult. The romantic saga between Raj and Simran enacted by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol respectively made love traditional yet most wanted desire among the youth.
So, if the 90s had Raj-Simran defining love then as per Adi Chopra 'Befikre' is all about how today's youth understands it. A story about a stand-up comedian Dharam played by super energetic Ranveer Singh and tour guide Vaani Kapoor looks fresh, young and hip.
The 'Befikre' director in his series of letters which he has been posting on Twitter handle has explained why Ranveer was the first and perfect choice to play Dharam.
He even went on say that Ranveer in fact was in the film even before Aditya was the creator of 'Befikre',
