Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have big releases this year

Mumbai: Bollywood fans have surprises aplenty in 2018. A number of fresh talents will make a splash on the silverscreen and the superstars will sizzle with their big festive releases. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan – all have something special for their fans this year.

Here’s taking a look at the biggest releases of the year:

Salman Khan – Race 3 on Eid

Salman has tasted success every time he has released his film on Eid with just Tubelight being an exception. From Wanted in 2009, to Dabangg in 2010, Bodyguard in 2011, Ek Tha Tiger in 2012, Kick in 2014, Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015 and Sultan in 2016 – Salman has ruled the roost! And Race 3 directed by Remo D’Souza too is expected to spin the same magic.

Race 3 is the third instalment of the Race franchise. The first two instalments were directed by Abbas-Mustan and had Saif Ali Khan as the protagonist. Race 3 too will release on Eid and may add another leaf to his book of success stories at the Box Office.

Aamir Khan – Thugs of Hindostan on Diwali

Aamir set the global Box Office on fire with his Christmas release Dangal in 2016. He spent 2017 gearing up for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs of Hindostan, a period-action adventure drama also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The Mr Perfectionist of Hindi cinema can be seen sporting a nose pin and shoulder-length wavy hair these days. Images of the actor from the sets of the film were leaked online and this had angered the superstar. His look in the film was revealed and so was Amitabh Bachchan’s.

Thugs of Hindostan comes across as a film from a genre least explored in Bollywood. And fans can look forward to it this Diwali.

Shah Rukh Khan – Zero on Christmas

Shah Rukh Khan made the first day of 2018 merrier by unveiling the teaser of his next – Zero. And he is determined to end the year on a positive note. Zero, an Aanand L Rai film will present SRK in the role of a dwarf. The teaser shows SRK grooving to a peppy track from Shashi Kapoor starrer Jab Jab Phool Khile and the special effects will make your jaw-drop.

The film also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Zero, slated to release on December 21, will be challenging film for SRK because his previous releases – Fan and Jab Harry Met Sejal proved to be a dud at the Box Office. Only Raees (2016) managed to do a decent business.
