New Delhi: More than a month back, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked and his set was vandalised by local activists group Karni Sena in Jaipur's 'Jaigarh Fort' over Padmavati filming. Now, latest TV reports suggest that the horrific incident has been repeated.

SLB's film set in Kolhapur, Maharashtra has been attacked by a fringe group. The 'Padmavati' set was put on fire by these unidentified men, who were later taken into police custody, reportedly. Initial TV reports suggest that some people attacked the set location late at night and burnt down the set-up.

According to PTI, the attackers torched the costumes and the animal feed kept there, said the police.

The shooting of the film was underway at Mhasai Pathar, a rocky plateau in the western Maharashtra district when a group of around 15-20 people came to the set between 1 AM and 2 AM today, they said.

They allegedly set on fire the costumes of the film and also torched the fodder kept for the horses, Senior Police Inspector, Panhala Police Station, Dhanya Kumar Godse said. The film's crew members caught hold of two of the vandals. However, they were attacked by the other members of the group and managed to run away, Senior Police Inspector, he said.

No formal complaint has been lodged so far in connection with the incident.
