Simmba Ranveer Singh vs Zero Shah Rukh Khan in December: Who will win the Box Office race?

Mumbai: Do you remember one of Bollywood’s biggest Box Office clashes – Bajirao Mastani vs Dilwale in 2015? The Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh starrers released on the December 18, 2015 and both the films garnered great responses.

This December, we will see something similar but not exactly the same. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see who outshines the other.

Ranveer’s Simmba produced by Karan Johar and helmed by Rohit Shetty is all set to hit the silverscreen on December 28, 2018. And Shah Rukh’s home production Zero directed by Aanand L Rai will make a splash a week before on December 21.

Now, the biggest question is – who will garner better response at the Box Office.

For the uninitiated, SRK starrer Zero also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Anushka will essay a mentally challenged girl while Katrina will play an actress. The film will also see a number of big names making special appearances. The Badshah of Bollywood will be seen as a dwarf in the Rai directorial.

Simmba on the other hand will be another typical Rohit Shetty film. The poster of the film was unveiled a few days back and going by the way it appears, Simmba will be an out and out masala potboiler. It marks Ranveer’s first collaboration with Shetty and the filmmaker’s first venture with Karan Johar. Ranveer plays a cop named Sangram Bhalerao and his first look was quite quirky.

The leading lady of this film hasn’t been finalised yet and it will be interesting to see who Ranveer romances in Simmba. Also, since we haven’t seen the bundle of energy essaying the role of a police officer, we can’t really wait to see how beautifully he pulls it off.
