Student of the Year 2: Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya to be launched by Karan Johar?

Mumbai: On Monday, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions unveiled the first look poster of Student of the Year 2 and announced Tiger Shroff as the first ‘student’ on board. The first look poster of the film garnered rave reviews and was appreciated fans of the actor.

And if the latest buzz is anything to go by, Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya may make her Bollywood debut with the Dharma Productions film.

According to a report in Bollywoodlife, Ananya, who is already a huge hit in social media, is gearing up for her Bollywood launch.

“The makers had shortlisted a lot of candidates for Student of the Year 2, but looks like they have nearly signed Ananya Pandey for the part. She fits the part perfectly and the team is really excited about this talented, new actress. Advance talks are underway and an announcement is being awaited,” Bollywoodlife quoted a source as saying.

Student of the Year 2 is a sequel to 2011 super-hit film Student of the Year directed by Karan Johar. The film marked the launch of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in Bollywood. And it is likely that the second SOTY instalment too will have another lead actor on board. And apparently, a search is on for another fresh face for the other leading lady’s spot.

Ananya is among the league of Bollywood kids that is all set to venture into the world of films. Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter – Sara Ali Khan and - Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter - Janhvi Kapoor – have already announced their arrival with films Kedarnath and Dhadak respectively.

Directed by Puneet D Malhotra, Student of The Year 2 will reportedly release next year.
