Mumbai: The makers of 1921, starring Karan Kundra and Zareen Khan have unveiled the trailer of the horror film written and directed by Vikram Bhatt.

Check out the trailer here:

According to the makers, the film "based in the year 1921 the film deals with Ayush & Rose’s battle with extreme paranormal activities created by a ruthless and cursed spirit that would lead them to their ultimate redemption or downfall."

Bhatt took to Twitter to announce the trailer launch of his film. He tweeted: “Months of hard work and ten  years after a film I cherish, here is the trailer of 1921 (sic).”

Bhatt has helmed a number of films based on the supernatural genre. He has directed Raaz, Haunted -3D, 1920, Raaz 3, Raaz Reboot etc.

Zareen, who made her acting debut in Salman Khan’s Veer, is excited to be a part of 1921.

The film is set in a school of music in North London and will feature the Hate Story 3 star as a music student.

Talking about the film, filmmaker Bhatt during an earlier interview said, "1920’s films are set in a period time zone and they require a certain body type for actors. The body type, body language should be such that they look right in any era. Zareen, that way, is timeless. She is perfect for the role," he said.

Bhatt said 1921 will have a strong romantic premise which was missing in the last two instalments of 1920. "It (the film) is like 1920 2.0. There is nothing wrong with the 1920 franchise, but I thought why not better it. In the last two parts, there was less romance as compared to the first one. 1921 will have strong romance and love story," he said.

"The film will have great scares and great love. Horror is the easiest thing to create but what I want to give the audience is a strong story. I want to grab your heart with this film and not just frighten," he said.
