Mumbai: Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra Tuesday launched an air-conditioned variant of its four-wheel drive jeep Thar at a base price of Rs 6.75 lakh.
The company, which had till now kept away from fitting the off-roader jeep with an AC, decided to install it after customer feedback, wherein people felt the need for the comfort of an AC, senior marketing vice-president, automotive division, Vivek Nayer told reporters.
The new model is priced at Rs 6.75 lakh and upwards, he said, adding the model is Bharat Stage IV-compliant.
The company also announced the schedule for the second season of its branding and customer-connect initiative called 'Mahindra Adventure' involving themed-drives and off-roading competitions, among others.
A domestic initiative so far, this year's edition will also include a tri-nation drive passing through India, Bhutan and Nepal and also an event in South Africa.
