New Delhi: To keep pace with the car competitors, Maruti Suzuki has plans to launch the facelift version of its popular small car Maruti Wagon R, as per media reports.
The Wagon R, launched in December 1999, has since undergone three upgrades (one in 2003, another in 2006 and another in 2010). This would be the fourth upgrade though the facelift is not going to be a major cosmetic overhaul.
Changes in the Maruti Wagon R could be seen in the fog lamps, grill, front and the bumper.
The Wagon R, powered by a 1-liter K Series, is available in petrol, LPG and CNG variants.
The company currently sells a variety of models starting from the M800 to imported Kizashi at a price range starting from Rs 2.09 lakh to Rs 17.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
During the second quarter of this fiscal, the company had posted a 5.41 per cent fall in net profit at Rs 227.45 crore, hit by an unprecedented violence at its Manesar plant and low sales and currency fluctuation.
