New Delhi: To sustain its position in the India's auto market, Maruti is keen to bring out new and transformed models of its two cars - Swift and Dzire.
India's automobile industry is now facing a stiff competition as there are numerous competitors jumping in the sector. Maruti Suzuki India is one of the biggest market shareholder in the auto sector.
However, Maruti's current market share has fallen over the years due to a tough competition.
Maruti Suzuki Swift and Swift Dzire has ruled the hearts and roads of India.
The new changed model of Swift will hit the Indian market later this year. The new design will remain similar to the existing model. The new model will offer new L-shaped LEDs, revised fog lamps and bumper with silver detailing will give it a new look.
The top-end variant of the car might have 16-inch alloy wheels as an option, while the non-alloy wheel model might be with new wheel covers. There will not be much of a change in the engine system.
Maruti Swift might also be launched in a new 'boost blue' metallic shade. Since Dzire is essentially a 3-box version of the Swift, all the changes made to the Swift will also be seen in the Dzire facelift.
The company may bring in an auto touch function for the front passenger's window, automatic headlamps, start-stop button and electronically adjustable side view mirrors.
Other features will include key less entry and power folding ORVMs, bluetooth headlamps that certainly enhance its attraction.
The engine of the car might remain the same i.e. a 1.2 litre, four pot, normally aspirated K12B petrol engine. An automatic gear is too expected.
Now, one has to wait till the festive season to see what changes have been procured by Maruti to revamp its own status in the market.
