London: Unflattering pictures of a topless Madonna in her underwear shot three years ago have leaked on the Internet, leaving the pop diva embarrassed.
The behind-the-scenes photos, shot in a hotel room during a December 2008 magazine shoot in Brazil, show the 53-year-old singer dishevelled and unairbrushed.
The unflattering shots have made their way on to various Internet blogs showing Madonna, then aged 50, in a series of unladylike positions, the Daily Mail reported.
In another shot, she is seen topless facing a mirror as she changes into an outfit.
In one she is seen sitting with her legs apart while slumped on the sofa wearing a see-through bra and a black thong.
The blonde wig she was wearing is off-centre and she appears to be holding a lacy accessory in her hand.
Three months after the shoot, fashion bible W Magazine published a 46-page spread of rather more flattering, touched-up photographs of the singer in its March 2009 edition.
Madonna appeared on the cover of the U.S. mag, posing on the same couch, which can be clearly seen in the leaked pictures.
The photographs have emerged after the news that Madonna will be performing in the upcoming NFL Super Bowl in February.
