Mercedes Benz M Class 250 CDI launched in India at Rs 46.5 lakh
New Delhi: Mercedes Benz India has launched ML 250 CDI, a smaller engined version of the M-Class SUV on Wednesday.
The new Mercedes Benz M-Class ML 250 CDI SUV is priced at Rs 46.5 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
In the lower priced version, the ML250CDI model will come with a smaller 2.2 Liter, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine instead of the 3 liter, V6 TDI unit.
The third-generation M-class SUV (ML 350 CDI) was launched in May this year is currently offered with a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel.
-Powered by a 2143 cc diesel engine
-Generates 151.5 kW @ 4200 rpm and 500 Nm torque @ 1600-1800 rpm
-Can attain top speed of 210 kmph and an acceleration time of 9 seconds for 0-100 kmph
-Assures a mileage of 15.26 kmpl
-Features 18" ten spoke alloys while a kerb weight of 2160 kgs.
-Has a wheelbase of 2915 mm
-It is 4808 mm long, 1906 mm wide and 1796 high
Mercedes-Benz India had last week launched the C-Class Sport and the E-Class Sport editions in the country.
Mercedes which will complete launching of products aimed to drive volumes in India by 2015-16, expects 40 percent of its entire product range to be priced below Rs 25 lakh in the next 5- 10 years. It is investing Rs 250 crore on new product line up till 2014.
Mercedes-Benz India had lost its leadership position to compatriot BMW in 2009. This year, it is likely to slip to the third position, giving way to Audi India, which is expecting to sell over 8,000 units.
