Renault to take on Maruti, Hyundai in entry level car segment
The car will reportedly cost between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh.
New Delhi: Renault is contemplating entry into the small car segment with its new car codenamed ‘A Entry’ as per media reports.
The French car maker is making its small car keeping in mind Maruti’s Alto, Hyundai’s Eon and Chevrolet’s Spark as its immediate competitor in the entry level segment.
The car will reportedly cost between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh. The car will be powered by an 800 cc engine and will be rolled out from Renault’s Chennai plant.
The ‘A Entry’ will hit the Indian markets by 2014 and will boast of a mileage of 20 Kilometers per litre, as per reports.
