A United Airlines flight with 112 people on board, including several Hollywood celebrities, was forced to make an emergency landing after the cockpit caught fire, Daily Mail reported. The plane was en route from New York to Los Angeles when it diverted to Dulles International Airport in suburban Virginia. Among the plane`s passengers were actress and fashion designer Ashley Olsen, and her boyfriend Justin Bartha, who stars in The Hangover and the National Treasure movies. `Californication` star Pamela Adlon, and Jarrod Spector, from the Broadway show `Jersey Boys` were also caught up mid-air. Adlon, who who was sitting in the second row, said she smelled smoke about 30 minutes into the flight. "All of a sudden the cockpit door opened and it was the captain and he said, `I need a fire extinguisher`. And there were flames coming out of the cockpit," said Adlon, who works alongside David Duchovny in the hit series. She also put up pictures of the operation on her Twitter page. PTI
