Los Angeles: Pop star Katy Perry says her upcoming 3D concert movie, ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ will hit screens this summer. Perry, 27, has premiered a first TV spot for the documentary during the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids` Choice Awards, a website has reported. The 30-second promotional video presents real footage that shows the `Firework` hitmaker`s rocketing career from when she was a church singer to the time she became a pop sensation.
"My concert documentary is coming out Fourth of July weekend. Go and see it and be a firework!" she said. ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ is designed as a concert-documentary movie hybrid, which aims to show the singer`s life on and off the stage as well as gives a fan`s perspective on the songstress. The movie is directed by Magical Elves, which consists of Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz. The duo had previously worked as the producers for Justin Bieber`s successful concert documentary, ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’. PTI
