New Delhi: Replacing the Aveo U-VA, General Motors India has launched the premium hatchback Chevrolet Sail U-VA.

Although General Motors has a strong presence in the small car segment with its two cars Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Spark doing well in the market, the company believes that Sail U-VA will further strengthen their small car portfolio.

Amidst the company’s hopes on Sail to expand volumes in India and expectation of it to be its best selling model in the country, let’s have a look at five interesting things about the car.

Performance

The four cylinder car boasts of Maximum Power (PS @ rpm) 78 @ 4000 with Maximum Torque (Nm@rpm) of 205 @ 1750. Sail U-VA also adheres to BS IV emission norms. Front and Rear has passive twin-tube gas filled shock absorber.

Exteriors

SAIL U-VA has got a three-dimensional stylish look. The traditional dual port front grille and golden bowtie adds more sophistication to the car. However the car also boasts of sharp features like the Hawk Wing style headlamps and stylish individual electronically adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors.

Interiors

The car has good space in the interiors. Its 60:40 folding Rear Row seat lets you take along more. While you can have an easy control owing to the centrally placed power window buttons. Your Safety point has also been taken of while making of this car. The dual front air bags ensure maximum protection for you. Horizon View dashboard design provides an uninterrupted Panoramic-View for those who love driving and enjoying the view at the same time.

Mileage

With a 1.3 l SMARTECH Turbocharged Diesel Engine Sail U-VA promises mileage if approximately 22.1 kilometer per litre while the 1.2 l SMARTECH Petrol variant promises a mileage of approximately 18.2 kilometer per litre.

Price

The car is available in both petrol and diesel version. In the same price level the car will compete with its ilks Ford Figo, Nissan Micra while at a slightly higher price the car will have competition with Toyota Etios Liv, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20.
