London: Brazilian movie bosses are trying to entice Woody Allen with the charms of Rio de Janeiro so that the director films his next flick in the city.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Rio officials are offering a 1.3-million-pound subsidy to the 73-year-old director if he lenses his upcoming movie in the city, reports the Daily Express. And, Allen is considering the offer seriously - he even sent his sis, Letty Aronson, to Rio check out possible locations for a shoot. The move to attract Allen to South America comes after Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes and state Governor Sergio Cabral decided to combine the city and state film profits. Rio is presently enjoying a boost in its popularity after winning the bid the to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. ANI
