Prince William`s girlfriend Kate quits job

London: Adding fuel to speculation that they may soon announce their engagement, Prince William`s lady love Kate Middleton has quit her job as a photographer, a news report said.

According to a tabloid, Kate has given up her job at her parents` multi-million pound event supplies firm Party Pieces; her final assignment was shooting the Christmas catalogue at the firm`s warehouse in Berkshire. "She`ll always be ready to help her parents if they need her but she`s not going to be working there regularly from now on," a friend of the 28-year-old Kate was quoted by the British tabloid as saying. The second-in-line to the British throne`s longtime girlfriend had recently cancelled the first exhibition of her work after feeling the pressure of the show. One royal aide said: "There isn`t a single senior royal bride who has managed to hold down a career in the real world after marrying into the family." Meanwhile, Kate`s parents Carole and Michael are said to be joining the British Queen for a New Year break at Sandringham in Norfolk. PTI
