Becks’ tattooist launches T-Shirt designs

The man behind David Beckham’s tattoos has stepped into the fashion world.

London: The man behind David Beckham’s tattoos has stepped into the fashion world by launching a new range of T-shirts.
And now, Fans of Becks, 35, can buy limited edition items featuring one of his body art designs by Manchester-based Lou Molloy. Two of the tees feature the famous “guardian angel” found on Becks’ back, depicting a bald and winged angelic figure. Lou, 47, revealed that the design was originally without wings, until he suggested the idea to ink-addict Beckham, who has tattoos over much of his upper body. “David gave the brief that he wanted an image of a man with his arms outstretched and his head bowed forward,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying. “What immediately came to mind to me was the classic Olympic diver pose. As I was drawing it out, I thought it would look good with wings. “When David saw the design he was absolutely bowled over by it and said: ‘That’s the one’. The rest, as they say, is history,” added Molloy. ANI
