Gold price gains 80 to Rs 30,080 on stockists' buying
New Delhi: Gold prices Thursday recovered by Rs 80 to Rs 30,080 per ten grams in the national capital after fresh buying by stockists and retailers for the ensuing marriage season.

Silver prices, however, fell further by Rs 300 to Rs 44,000 per kg on lack of buying support from industrial units and coin makers.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists and retailers for the ensuing marriage season mainly led to rise in gold prices.

On the domestic front, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity recovered by Rs 80 each to Rs 30,080 and Rs 29,880 per ten grams, respectively; while sovereign held steady at Rs 25,000 per piece of eight gram.

On the other hand, silver ready fell by Rs 300 to Rs 44,000 per kg and weekly-based delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 44,000 per kg. The white metal had lost Rs 1,050 yesterday.

Silver coins remained steady at Rs 85,000 for buying and Rs 86,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
