Vadodara: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Wednesday said he enjoyed playing the role of a co-host with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in a soon-to-be-telecast special episode of popular TV show `Kaun Banega Crorepati`.
"I have just completed shooting for the episode and enjoyed it," Shah Rukh, who has previously anchored one of the seasons of KBC, said after unveiling a theatrical trailer of his magnum opus `Ra.One` here. The 45-year-old actor, who was a guest on the current season of the game show, said that the duo exchanged their respective roles as contestant and an anchor during the show with Big B occupying the `hot seat` while he briefly anchored it. "Big B requested me not to pose difficult questions," quipped Shah Rukh. "It (the episode) is expected to telecast on 23 or 24 October," Shah Rukh, who is visiting the city for the first time, added. When asked whether he would venture in making Gujarati films, he said, "I am concentrating on Hindi movies". Replying to a query pertaining to setting up a film studio in Gujarat, Shah Rukh said he did not have such plans for now. Admitting that it is difficult to kick the butt when it comes to smoking, the maverick actor said, "I promise to give it after the success of Ra.One." Shah Rukh said the sci-fi flick speaks about the ill-effects of puffing cigarettes. "I want to give up smoking and will soon do it. Even my daughter keeps asking me when will I quit it. I will give up the habit after Ra.One (is) released," Shah Rukh said. Shah Rukh further said Ra.One portrays ten evils of the world and smoking is also an evil which affects the health of smoker. "There is one scene in Ra.One which speaks about the ill-effects of cigarettes, which is in the form of conversation between father and son," he said. Saying Ra.One is a complete entertainer, the actor said all members of family can enjoy it together. He also thanked his family members for extending their support in making the opus whose budget is pegged at more than Rs 150 crore. "Before making this film, I told my family members that it is for the first time that I am attempting to make it such a high cost film as no one had tried to do so in the past". "My family members supported and said if you do not make it than who else will do and that strengthened my resolve and determination in making this film," Shah Rukh asserted. Asserting he wants women to play important role in shaping destiny of the country, the actor said, "I will allow my children to decide on their own on choosing their future careers." "I will welcome my daughter if she decides to be an actress but that will be her own decision and I will not impose my ideas on her" he added. Parrying a query on prevailing political scenario in Gujarat and Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Shah Rukh said the state is progressing well. When asked about his future plans, the actor said, "I am interested in making comedy films." PTI
