Mumbai: One of Indian cinema’s most defining film, late Yash Johar directed ‘Agneepath’ may not have enjoyed the kind of commercial success as expected, nonetheless the film definitely left an incredible impact on audiences all over the nation. The film’s remake is on the cards and incidentally it is being produced by Johar Jr, Karan Johar. He said it will be a tribute to his dad. Apparently, the film is being directed by Karan Johar’s trusted assistant Karan Malhotra, who KJo thinks, has done a fabulous job with the script. On being asked why he isn’t directing the ‘Agneepath’ remake, Karan said, “He has been one of the most talented and trusted assistants. If a star like Hrithik Roshan accepted the film in one hearing, it just speaks loud and clear on Karan’s talent.” Karan further said, “Agneepath was one of his best projects and a landmark for our company, Dharma Productions. Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) won a National Award for his performance in the film. That makes it even more special as homage for dad.”
