New Delhi: Heavy rains that lashed the city today after a long lull set some of the Bollywood personalities complaining though few of them appeared to enjoy it.
It has been pouring continuously in Mumbai since Thursday morning and road and air traffic has been affected by it. Tasting the bitter fruit of the inclement weather are filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actress Sandhya Mridul, who got stuck in traffic! "From Juhu 2 airport have been on the road for 2 hours already. Mumbai breaks down in rains," Shekhar posted on his Twitter page. Sandhya wrote: "One night of rain and can sadly see the city falling apart already... When will we be ready?! So if I miss my flight in spite of leaving 2.5 hours before departure WHO CAN I SUE?!" Bipasha Basu is taking the water-logging with a pinch of humour. "Surprised to step out of my house and find myself in Venice! Just need to swap my car for a Gondola and my driver for a handsome gondola guy!," she posted. Some others too are enjoying every bit of the monsoon. "On my way to film city in rains and listening to music... enjoying the rains," posted Manish Malhotra. Arshad Warsi too seemed to be in love with the weather as he posted: "Gd mrng ppl of the wrld... the cool breeze, the haze, n the washed leaves is what I got up to... Monsoons in Mumbai, the other season." And, there are some who like to go outdoors and make the most of this weather. "Just got my new 3D camera! Can't stop shooting... There is nothing better than shooting rains in 3D! Endless layers!," Filmmaker Shirish Kunder said. "It was squash and cricket with the lads yesterday. with large amounts of water raining down, water polo it is for today," wrote Rahul Bose. Lara Dutta has trekking plans in mind. "Can hear a good monsoon trek in the ghats calling! Time 2 stretch those muscles and put them 2 some use! Muscles r ready, hair is complaining!" "Drinking my green tea called "love spell", sitting at my window with taz, watching the rain raindrops bathe my flowers, raindrops + me = bliss," VJ-actress Maria Goretti said. Filmmaker Karan Johar is enjoying rains from home, but has a word of sympathy for everyone out there on road. "For all those living in mumbai... and stuck in traffic... you have my sympathies!!," he posted. (with IANS and PTI inputs)
